We just love her and are sooooo proud of her! With her generous heart and the willingness and ability to volunteer for our community for over 40 years is unbelieveable! She has set the bar!!!
Wow! 5 degrees this morning! I feel like I am in a deep freeze. Watching the weather report this morning, I see that my daughter in Baker City is experiencing 12 degrees below zero. I feel so sorry for her 'cause she is climatized to Palm Springs winters. Geez, what a year to move to Baker City!
Through the course of the day, I hope everyone stays warm and cozy. I plan on it! Got to watch the ice though, 'cause I have an inclination to slip and fall with my slicky soled shoes. Maybe I should put my Yak Trax on today!
We are busy, busy, busy at the Chamber with our First Citizens Banquet preparations. The banquet is this Friday evening out at Wildhorse Resort & Casino. Can hardly believe that it has been a year since the last one...time is flying by. The Chamber is decorating three tables this year! Lucky us! Sure wish we could get more table sponsorships from our members...it would lighten my load.
It will be fun to post the winners on Friday night! Check back...it will all be here on my blog!
Tara's basketball team played in Boardman on Saturday...and won! Here the girls are before the game contemplating their strategy!
Ok....let's get the spirit. Their usual ritual before each game.
Stretch Tara! Way to go!!!!
Keep it from those Lady Pirates Tara!
Uh Oh.....looks like the small and big of it! Keep running Tara....she can't catch ya!
Time for the Charity Line.....go Tara....we need points!
After the game, Tiah, Beau and I went to the River Lodge on the Columbia River in Boardman. It is a very nice facility. 'Thought maybe Beau would enjoy a little extra special something! Talk about a huge hamburger! (He took half of it home!)
Beau and mom in the restaurant at the lodge.
This is the dining room of the restaurant. Very nice, huh? It had a great view of the Columbia.
The lobby is quite vast! Here the kiddies are exploring.
Before we left, I took a photo of Beau and Tiah sitting by the fireplace. Beau thinks we should go back again sometime. All in all, we had a wonderful day.
This photo is for my cousin, Nicki, the doll lover! It was taken on Christmas Day when Megan and Tara brought all of their dolls for Christmas dinner! They are such doll lovers themselves ... it is fun to see what the girls create for their dolls. Would you believe they even had a Christmas Tree for their dolls, along with stockings and presents, set up in the bedroom? Gotta love it! Hope you enjoyed this Nicki!
This picture of Beau captures the excitement of Christmas morning! He was so much fun to watch as he opened each gift.
Tucker found his present and began unwrapping it. Oh, how wonderful those pig ears are! My cousin, Nicki, sent me a beautiful Brighton clock...I just love it. How did she know it was just what I wanted?!!!
Tiah and the kiddies! This was before all the merriment began on Christmas Day. I am so happy and thankful that Tiah shares her family with us on this special day. We just love 'em all!
Christmas Eve and new jammies!
Christmas Eve the kiddies got a very special phone call from their daddy in Afghanistan. He figured he would have a hard time trying to get through to them on Christmas Day, so he called on Christmas Eve and made it very special for three little kids. They just glowed as they spoke with their daddy. He is scheduled to come home in about a month or so. We can't wait!!!!
This was taken Christmas Eve after we drove around Pendleton looking at all the beautiful Christmas decorations people had on their homes. We found some pretty neat stuff out there.
I hope everyone had a very, very Merry Christmas! Now....on to this New Year!
Yesterday we had so much fun at our Chamber Office Christmas Party at Jean Eckles house. We missed April and Gail though! Here is our festive group in front of Jean's fireplace. Hey...Jean, what are you doing clear down there?
Just check out all the goodies we had to munch on! Whew, we have some really good cooks in the Chamber office. Thanks for sharing receipes girls!
Leslie loved her present from Aunt Shirley...Alicia was amazed with the beautiful ornament she received and Trish was playing "Vanna." What a group!
Yolanda, what can we say? She just loved her wine glass "foot wear". She was totally tickled with the little coasters for her wine glasses.
Jean, thanks a million for being a first rate hostess and showing us all such a good time. Your house is beautiful and we loved the tour!
