National Scrapbooking Day Fun, May 3rd!

National Scrapbooking Day at Hamley Steakhouse....what fun! It began about 10:30 a.m. and lasted until about 10:30 pm! Lots of creative things to do, visiting to be done, prizes to win, food to eat, instructors to tease!

My pictures are totally out of order, but you can view them anyway and enjoy our day.

All of us ate dinner in the "Wine Cellar"! I hadn't eaten there yet and it was quite elegant. The atmosphere was very nice for all of us, but just a little cool.

Queen Renee and her "fill up"....hmmmmmmmmm, that was a very big glass!

Our instructors were nothing but a couple of clowns!!! Ha!

Miss Carla popped in and greeted us all!

Here's to Renee and Melisa! Cheers! & thanks for the memories!

Tara's Track Meet on Friday

It was so much fun watching Tara run and broad jump on Friday. She is quite the runner...her Uncle Dennis would be so proud! Here she is ready to begin the 200!

A photo of the girls sprinting on the far side of the field. Tara was in first place, but got edged out at the end.

Here she is sprinting in to the finish line. Good job Tara! We are so proud of you!

A busy weekend....

From left to right: Gene, Jan, myself, Linda and Dennis.

Whew.....I had a very busy weekend! I went to my brother's house on Friday and my sister-in-law was geting ready to give a baby shower for dear April (their daughter-in-law) on Saturday. Well, there were 50 invited (14 r.s.v.p.'d) and 50 showed up...so we were busy gals! You have to give Linda credit...she cooked for 50 ladies and was so gracious! I just love her!!

After the baby shower, my brother Gene and his wife Jan, along with Dennis and Linda and myself all went to Silverton for dinner. We found an out-of-the way spot and enjoyed dinner along with great conversation! Jan was so cute as she kept us all entertained with her antics!

My drive home was a beautiful one...a little sun...a little rain...a little wind...then back to sun!

Thanks Linda and Dennis for all the fun! I always love visiting you guys.

Wildhorse Fireworks on Saturday Night!

It was the 13th Anniversary for Wildhorse Resort & Casino and they celebrated on Saturday night with an awesome fireworks display! Here we are with our special glasses on (they make every light look like a dollar sign) waiting for the event to begin.

Beau and Megan loved their special glasses and thoroughly enjoyed the show.

There were many gasps, oohs and ahhhs while the show was going on. The finale was the best I have ever seen and everyone clapped, hooped and hollered with total satisfaction as the event ended. Thanks Wildhorse for the great show!

Oh yes, I couldn't believe it on Sunday morning when I opened the patio curtains to set my eyes on snow! I am about up to "here" with the stuff. Go away....it is Spring!

Late Easter Post!

The Saturday of Easter weekend we watched Meg and Beau Easter Egg Hunt in Pilot Rock. This was a very special year as it was Megan's last year to hunt eggs 'cause she was getting too old! Here Megan is getting tips from one of her girlfriends on where all the eggs are before the hunt!

Well, Meg found one in the tree!

Beau found many eggs....he was a great hunter!

We came back to "grandma's house" and the kiddies colored their Easter Eggs.

Tara, Megs and Beau as they began the Easter Egg coloring event. Wow, did they ever make some great colored eggs! Way to go!

Here is Beau's favorite egg. I sure hope your Easter was as full of family as mine was. Can't beat that!

St. Patrick's Day at the Rainbow!

The "shortest parade in history" crosses Main Street from Hamley to the Rainbow on St. Patrick's Day! The parade was led by the town mayor, Phillip Houk! This parade is always early @ 7 a.m., but with the early time change this year, it was almost in the dark!!

Here the crowd anxiously awaits the parade and the proclamation so the festivities can begin inside the Rainbow.

I couldn't resist taking a photo of some of the patrons in the Rainbow on St. Patrick's Day. Boy, if you haven't experienced a St. Patrick's Day morning at the Rainbow....you have missed out!

I gathered up the crew for a photo shoot. Don't they look like they are going to have a great day! You couldn't help but smile as you entered the Rainbow.

Here is the inside of the Rainbow before the parade. Everyone is having a "toddy" or eating breakfast as they await the parade. Believe me, by the afternoon...you have to wedge your way inside this place!
I'm so glad I made it to the event this year. I sure was hoping that the Chamber Girls would join me, but they must have slept in. Maybe next year! Hope your St. Paddy's Day was full of green fun! See ya next year!!!!

Happy Birthday Fun!

Zona and myself on March 15th celebrating our birthdays together at the Haines Steakhouse. Zona is so much fun! We exchanged presents and had "Happy Birthday" sung to us by their staff.
Here I am with my "kiddies" on my birthday. We had so much fun eating cake and ice cream and playing Wii. Tiah and I both got "tennis elbow"! It was a great birthday filled with precious family time....lots of memories were made! Thanks everyone for making it the best birthday.
