Briana's Last Day at the Chamber

Sure didn't want to see Briana leave the Chamber! Her last day was yesterday, August 29th. She has been such an asset for our office, but I know she needed to head on over to greener pastures! Throughout her time at the Chamber she has been a rock for me! Her extensive knowledge at the computer has been a tremendous help for me and the rest of the staff. I always knew she was just spinning her wheels at our office and would take off for something better, just didn't want to see it happen so soon! We all wish her the best of luck and success as she begins her new job with UNICEL as the manager of the Hermiston and Pendleton offices. You go girl! Now.....on to your wedding this Saturday!

Pilot Rock Community Days 2007

Me, Jackie & Nicki at the "Beer Garden". We had such a great time visiting with "old" classmates! We are all looking forward to next year and a bigger and better Pilot Rock Community Days. For those of you who didn't come....you missed out!
The four amigos! Jean, Toni, Jackie and myself. "Cheers!"
Front Row: Jim, Trini and Jackie. Back Row: Hal, Ron, Phil, Toni and Jean. I'm so thankful that I got to see my classmates. When visiting, it seemed as if time hadn't even passed by!
Our wonderful float going down Main Street of Pilot Rock. We received some pretty odd comments as we passed folks along the parade route. Some included: "Is this the Retirement Float" and "Class of 68?! That was two years before I was even born!" We didn't mind though. At least we got the energy to climb up on a float and be in the parade! Take that!!!

Hail to the Birthday Queen!

Cheers to Miss Renee aka: THE QUEEN on her 44th Royal Birthday Celebration!

Yesterday Amy, Kathleen, Melisa and myself helped Renee celebrate her very, very big day at the Great Pacific. Renee was a vision of royalty as she politely, and delicately opened each package and gasped at the contents! Not! I swear she could have been a comedian and done quite well for herself as she kept all of us in stitches.

We took a pizza break between packages and the pizza was awesome! I had never had GP pizza before and now I know what I have been missing. Of course, we had some wine and hard cider to help our taste buds along the way.

Dear Ronda knitted a BEAUTIFUL BIKINI for the Queen! Yes sirreee! We couldn't get her to model it though. RATS! That could have been pretty entertaining. Maybe we didn't have enough wine!

Believe it or not, Renee had a band play for her "birthday court"! Yup! Although, I don't think they were playing "our" kind of music, but we enjoyed it none the less. I left a little early (due to the LOUD music) and I guess I missed the Moment of the night....the band played Happy Birthday to Renee. So sorry I missed this one.

All in all, it was a super dooper evening and I am so glad I got to share it with my friends! Happy Birthday Renee!

Moon Sand anyone?

Smile Kiddies! It is so much fun to "smoosh" Moon Sand through your fingers!! If you haven't tried it...you don't know what you are missing, believe me! Of course, Mom's usually don't like the stuff, but that is OK 'cause there is always grandma!
Have you ever played with Moon Sand? It is really, really interesting stuff. I have no idea what it is actually made of, but the kids love it. Nicki bought some for Beau when she was here last week. He was soooo happy to get this stuff. Many times as he and I shopped Wal-Mart, he would point out the Moon Sand and want some.

Dinner at Hamley with Nicki

Nicki and I had so much fun at Hamley on Sunday evening. We did some "fine dining" and had a marvelous time. The dinner was top notch! We both had halibut, baked sweet potato with sour cream and also a very delicious green salad. The many flavors were such a treat to our taste buds! Here Nicki is calling her husband, Wayne, after dinner. Communications are a little different out here in the West! Can you hear me now?!!!
Of course, after dinner, we cuddled up to this impressive cowboy! What a hunk!

Here we are toasting the evening! Thanks Hamley for great memories! Nicki is looking forward to sharing an evening with Wayne at Hamley next time he is up this way.

Sultry Sunday!

Well, it is Sunday and I am visiting with my cousin Nicki from Phoenix! We just went shopping at Hamley and had a great time. We both picked up some treasures. After our shopping adventure we stopped by Hamley Coffee Shop and had some naughty sweetness (cinnamon roll) along with our coffees. Over coffee, we discussed our wonderful purchases and what fun thing we could do next. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, we are STILL trying to decide what to do next. Perhaps dinner at Hamley?!!!

I'm signing off for now. Have a great Sunday evening!
